Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech tied the weeding knot on 30th November. The wedding ceremony was at the spiritual Dera of Ganduan Wale Baba Ram Singh. The spiritual center is on the Sirhind-Chandigarh Road in the village of Duffera. The ceremony was held in a complete traditional way known as "Anand Karaj." It is a Sikh marriage ceremony that translates literally to "Blissful Union."Close families and friends of couple attended the marriage. It is reported that there was a tight security arrangement near the venue. Another ceremony will follow in December 2. This will be held in Goa. The wedding reception is being planned in Delhi on December 7. Reportedly, the cricketer wants to wrap up the ceremonies before 12 December, which is his birthday.
Yuvraj also offered a pre-wedding celebration in Chandigarh especially for the Indian cricket team on December 6. It was in the hotel where the team stayed for the Mohali test. All his team mates attended the cocktail party including the former players and new players. Apart from the couple, the player's parents and brother were also present at the party. Other distinguished guests were Kapil Dev, Ashish Nehra, and Mohammed Kaif. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also invited to the ceremony, but he could attend it due to official reasons. The engagement of the player with the model-actress was in Bali.
Currently, Yuvraj is playing the Ranji Tournament for his Punjab Team. He is the captain and has played substantial innings to put up his squad in a competitive position. The player has skipped two tests match for his wedding. He is replaced by Harbhajan Singh as the captain of the team in his absence.
For Yuvraj, World Cup 2011 was the height of his career, but he faced the toughest challenge a player could just after the stretch. He was diagnosed with a deadly disease but it could not stop him from continuing his stance as a top cricketer. Later, he came out as a strong player in several international matches and became an attractive bet in the IPL seasons. Yuvraj debuted ODI in the age of 18, playing against Australia. His father, Yograj Singh, was a fast bowler for team India and was the key person to transform him as a cricketer in his early years.
