Virat Kohli’s next inning of life. The India Cricket captain tied the knots with Bollywood celebrity Anoushka Sharma, on December 11. Virat and Anouska has been in relationship in the last five years offering several gimmicks to fans in different occasions. The met first during a shooting of a Shampoo advertisement in 2013. The couple married at an away from home destination, hidden from paparazzi and media, at Italy.
The marriage was celebrated as a private occasion with only the close relatives of the stars. The ceremony was held strictly in Indian traditional way at a resort in Tuscany. The news of their marriage was confirmed only after the pair posted the updates on their personal Twitter pages.
Kohli and Sharma both posted images of their marriage on their Twitter handle confirming the marriage. The bride and the groom promised “to be bound in love forever”, while thanking love and support from family, friends, fans, and well-wishers. He thanks everyone “for being such am important part” of their journey. He said that the couple is “truly blessed to share the news.” While, their official spokesperson confirmed the marriage at a private ceremony in Italy. The statement said, “the wedding was attended by close family and a few friends as they wished their wedding to be a very private affair.”
In India, there will be two separate reception venues. On December 21, a special reception will be held in New Delhi for relatives of the celebrities. The next reception venue is in Mumbai on December 26. This will be exclusively hosted for cricketers and industry friends of Anouska Sharma. The venue at Italy was Borgo Finocchieto. It is an 800-year-old village, renovated to a boutique estate. It is located at in southern Tuscany. Previously, former US president Barrack Obama and his Michelle Obama spent a week with this property.
