Teams bracing up new Players for Champions Trophy
Lasith Malinga is braced up with team Sri Lanka for the upcoming Champions Trophy.

Every team is getting ready for the next big event in cricket, due to set off soon. The Champions trophy teams are being formed with renewed players on the circuit. Several key players specialized in diverse formats are being recalled playing in the tournament by their respective selectors. Lasith Malinga is being recalled to the ODI squad for the tournament. It would be his first assignment after hiatus of more than a year due to knee injury. Pakistan has included Umar Akmal, Azhar Ali and a couple of new players from the domestic circuit. Mark Wood is named in the England squad for Champions Trophy. New Zealand has recalled Corey Anderson and Mitchell McClenaghan.

Malinga is playing at the IPL currently. The last 50 over format series he played was against West Indies back in November 2015. The player is through an average form. In five T20 matches, he played at recently, the bowler had 10 wickets. Azhar Ali, the former ODI captain, played his last ODI in Australia where he could only score some paltry runs. Another player Umar Akmal had a sluggish performance in the Australia series, but is recalled for the tournament. Pakistan has missed Kamran Akmal, who had several impressive stances in T20, but several new players Fakhar Zaman, Fahim Ashraf and Shadab Khan are included in the squad for the Champions Trophy.

Mark Wood is a fast bowler, but he was being rested since the last summer due to injury. Jake Ball is also included in the ODI squad replacing Steven Finn. England team is looking for a strong squad with better bowling strategy. New Zealand has braced in Corey Anderson and pacer Mitchell McClenaghan. Apart from them, Adam Milne is also included in the 15-player team. Champions Trophy is start from first week of June.

India is still to select the customized ODI squad for Champions Trophy. As IPL is on full swing, the team selectors are supposed to get ready only after the league phase of the tournament. The game will also provide enough clues for the selectors to form up a formidable team. On spotlight are players like MS Dhoni, who is successful to regain his form. Bowlers like Bhuvneshwar Kumar or Jasprit Bumrah can be crucial bets of the team on bowling front.
