Delhi Daredevils played their previous fixture against Kings XI Punjab. The bating line up was not at its best form with both the young and the old players coming out as weak bets against Punjab bowlers. Still there is no option for the team selectors to come up with just another combination of players out of the same choice of squad. In the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, all eyes are on Sanju Samson, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant and Karun Nair. In previous matches, although the players showed up individual strikes, they could not deliver a collective stance to win. The team playing without injured Zaheer Khan, the captain, will have Karun Nair as the stand in captain.
Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other hand, had a stronger stance. Bolstered with players like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, David Warner, Shikhar Dhawan and Kane Williamson, the team has been finding one or another striker in each match. Apart from senior players, the likes of Siddharth Kaul and Rashid Khan are adding optimally to the action. In the previous fixture against Kolkata Knight Riders, David Warner found a renewed form and have become the prime concern for Delhi. The team will have to find ways to tackle multiple points of attraction in Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Amit Mishra is a potential bet against Warner. The bowler is on spot light, being the best attacker so far against Hyderabad. Delhi has more option to change the team, as Zaheer Khan is absent. The choice is to opt among Marlon Samuels, Carlos Braithwaite, Sam Billings, and Corey Anderson. Apart from Amit Sharma, Jayant Yadav is also a strong option against Hyderabad. Warner’s team would come up with no change at all as they have found a good combination with Mohammed Siraj and Siddarth Kaul. Warner has already mentioned Siraj as “fantastic.” Warner said the team allows players to get chances and it is the way they come out.
