Former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh will play for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2021, after the franchise bought him to strengthen their spin-bowling core. The franchise's official Instagram account shared a video of Harbhajan Singh coming out of quarantine and heading straight to practice session. "I'm out because my results are out and I'm going to practice," Harbhajan said in the short video.

Harbhajan will contribute to the spin-bowling core of Narine, Shakib, Varun and Kuldeep. KKR will play their first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 11 in Chennai, a track which has shown assistance for spinners.
Nitish Rana joins the team after testing negative
Kolkata Knight Riders left-handed batsman Nitish Rana, who was infected with COVID-19 few days back, has now tested negative and has started training with other squad members. Rana entered the ground after 12-days of an extended quarantine.
He had to return two negative reports in order to join the squad.
“Nitish Rana joined his teammates last evening, after two consecutive negative results for Covid-19,” wrote KKR in a tweet post.
“Having just beaten the virus, he urged everyone to stay safe and take all necessary precautions against Corona virus,” the tweet post added.
