\Hyderabad-born pace Mohammed Siraj is one of them. His meteoric growth over the last few months has caught everyone’s attention, including former India batsman VVS Laxman. While speaking to siasat.com, Laxman highly praised the young pace gun, saying he can potentially become an international cricket great.
“Provided he continues to work hard over the next few years, Siraj can be a really big name in international cricket. He certainly has the qualities and the potential to do so,” said Laxman.
The Indian Bowling Trio
There is no lack of talent in Team India’s bowling attack in Test cricket. While senior pros in Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Umesh Yadav continue to remain a formidable pace unit, there are a few youngsters who are slowly but steadily making their way to the top.
While the management is likely to stick to the usual trio, Laxman advised Indian skipper Virat Kohli to bowl Siraj, whenever he gets a go, in long spells.

The English Conditions will be favorable for the Pacers
The Final of ICC World Test Championship will be played on English Conditions and certainly, the Pacers would come into picture. Alongwith, Bumrah and Shami, Mohammed Siraj is likely to be included in the squad and skipper might be tempted to have him in the XI considering his skill set.
In a Short interview, Shami said the Indian Attack is better than the opposition side.
“Obviously, we are (better than Boult, Southee and Wagner). When we play Test cricket, even if someone is having a bad day the other bowlers step up. When someone is down we make sure to pick up that teammate and carry the team forward as a unit. We try to cheer him up as well. If you see our records you will have an idea of what I’m talking about. Fans don’t become fans overnight, they know the entire history. We have done a lot of homework to build this fast-bowling trio of me, Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah,” Shami told Sports Tak.
