Legendary India cricketer MS Dhoni picked his 91-run knock against Sri Lanka in the 2011 World Cup final as his favorite innings in ODI cricket. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the 2011 World Cup triumph,MS Dhoni who led the team to its second WC title in 28 years came up with a one-of-a-kind-interview to celebrate the decade anniversary of this historic win. In the unconventional interview, hosted by Gulf Oil, the inexperienced version of Dhoni, learning and precipating interviews the established 2021 version Dhoni of 2021, who has achieved nearly everything on offer in the cricketing world as a skipper. The seasoned version of MSD uses words of wisdom to teach the newbie version thus implying the sacrifices and things he have had followed to achieve the status.
The interview gets interesting when the 2005 version of Mahi with dreams in his eyes and a fanboy version asks the seasoned Dhoni about his best innings. The Dhoni of today, who is calm and composed in the interview reveals it is the 91* in the final of the 2011 World Cup against Sri Lanka. Dhoni says it was a different feeling altogether as our hard work had harvested the rewards.
“World Cup Finals. Uss match ko finish karne ka maaza hi kuch aur tha. 2011 Wankhede Stadium, hamare mehnat ke waje se.” says the former Indian Skipper.
Dhoni would be seen leading the Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming season of the IPL. Mumbai Indians will play Royal Challengers Bangalore in the tournament opener on April 9. The CSK will take on Delhi Capitals in their opening match of IPL 2021 on Saturday, April 10 in Mumbai. The CSK team 2021 will play their first five matches in Mumbai, followed by four in Delhi, three in Bengaluru and the last two games in Kolkata.
