Tabraiz Shamsi, a left-arm chinaman bowler, has been among the regular players in South Africa's squad since the last two years. The bowler came into the limelight in 2015, when he earned a contract with St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the Carribean Premier League, where he ended up as the leading wicket taker.
Recently, on the back of his brilliant performances in the three-match T20I series against Pakistan and Rashid Khan's average T20I series against Afghanistan, Shamsi surpassed Rashid Khan to become the new no. 1 bowler in ICC T20I Rankings. Shamsi now has a 14-point lead over the Afghanistan leggie.
