Tewatia was born in May 1993 in Faridabad of Haryana. In his early childhood, he was inspired by his uncle. He is a fan of Roger Federer. Although, he played Ranji since 2013, his career breakthrough was in IPL debut. He played the first season for Kings XI Punjab. In a crucial moment of the match, he nicked the wickets of Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa changing the equation in favor of his team. Attaining the figure of 2 for 18 in four overs, he pulled up the match. It was in fact, his second showdown in the match. Earlier while batting, the player smashed 15 runs playing only 8 balls.
