Just when team India's greatest-ever drawn test match was about to sink in, Virat Kohli delighted the cricket world with the announcement of possibly the most awaited news ever. Yes, the Indian Skipper Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma have been blessed with a baby girl.
The global superstar took to Twitter to announce the news and fans were overjoyed thereafter. Within seconds, Virushka started trending and numerous cricketers, fans congratulated the Indian skipper on becoming a father.
Virat Kohli wrote on Twitter: "We are thrilled to share with you that we've been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers, and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat."

Anushka gave birth to the baby girl at Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital. Earlier, in the afternoon, the couple had reached the hospital for the delivery.
The most-loved couple had announced the pregnancy news in August 2020 after reaching Dubai, where Virat was leading RCB in IPL 2021.
Currently, Virat Kohli is on paternity leave as the team India is touring Australia. He will be back to lead India for the home series against England, which will start on February 5.
