Winning the toss, New Zealand elected to bat first and had a decent start but Taskin and Rubel dismissed both openers in successive overs to put NZ on backfoot. The returning Ross Taylor was dropped in the 11th over but he could not capitalize and edged a short ball off Rubel to fall cheaply for 7 runs. The previous match starrer Tom Latham went cheaply as he drove the ball to point and Mehidy took a stunner. The Kiwis were reduced to 120 for 4 when Daryl Mitchell joined Devon Conway and the Left-Right duo took care of the bowlers as they smashed runs in every corner.
Conway completed his Maiden ODI hundred in 43th over and the duo added 159 to the total. The Lefthander was removed by Mustafizur but Daryl Mitchell perpetuated his rhythm and completed his Maiden ODI hundred on the last ball of the innings thus allowing Kiwis to post a massive score of 318.
You really do run out of superlatives for this man.
First 100 in black and white, and you get the feeling there are plenty more to come.

Chasing with an intent to avoid a whitewash, Tamim nicked the ball off Mt Henry to depart for just a run. Henry continued to havoc as he dismissed both Soumya Sarkar, who tried to put and edged it over to Boult at fine leg, and Litton Das who pulled and Trent Boult took an absolute stunner at third man. Kyle Jamieson got his wicket as he dismissed Mithun for 6 who devoured 39 balls. Jimmy Neesham went through Bangladesh as he dismissed three of their top-order batsmen in a succession of two overs and they were reduced to 82 for 7. Neesham took a Fifer while Matt Henry took 4 wickets.
Devon Conway was awarded Man of the Match for his fantastic 126. The 3-match T20 series will commence on Sunday, March 28, and the first game will be played at Hamilton.
