Earlier, India posted a mammoth score of 224 on the board for the loss of just two wickets owing to the Indian Captain's brilliant unbeaten 80. The Visitors, however, even after losing one of their explosive openers kept the game alive as Jos Buttler and ICC No. 1 T20 batsman Dawid Malan added 130 runs in 12.5 overs chasing 225. England skipper Eoin Morgan understated the entire incident and said that it’s not an uncommon happening for two people to engage in an on-field conflict. “I don't know actually (what exactly happened). Obviously, Virat is very animated when he plays, a big character in the game, that's just who he is; he rides the emotions of the game. Sometimes in tight games, people can have conflicts, that's not uncommon. I think that was the instance,” said Eoin Morgan. Jos Buttler's wicket precipitated the collapse and the Indian Team never really left a space to let the visitors fightback in the decider. India won the match by 36 runs and Indian Captain Virat Kohli was awarded Player of the Series. Both teams will clash again for the First ODI which will be played on 23 March at Pune.
