After the enormous response in the first two T20s inspite of the reception confined to 50 percent, the Gujarat Cricket Association have shut doors for the specatators for the remaining three matches as precautionary measure against the increase in COVID-19 cases around the country. The enthusiasm amidst the cricket fraternity was pretty evident in the last two matches and stadium was effectively brimmed with more or less 65k viewers. While the inaugural game was comprehensively owned by the visitors, the following game was graced with two anticipated debuts. Suryakumar Yadav however was not neccisatated for the chase, it turned out to be a Surreal Debut for another MI player. Ishan Kishan's stalwart vigorous fifty and Captain Kohli's unwavering knock helped India to level the series.

"Refund will be given to the spectators who have purchased tickets. Due to increasing number of Corona cases, Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) has decided to organise the remainder T20 International matches between India and England at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad behind closed doors," Dhanraj Nathwani, Vice President of the GCA said in a statement on Monday (March 15).
The third T20I will be played on Tuesday (March 16). The remaining ones are scheduled for March 18 and March 20. The following updates about the ODIS which will be played from March 23 are yet to be disclosed.
Sundar, Bairstow involved in a heated exchange as the umpire Nitin Menon intervenes
The RCB all-rounder Washington Sundar was involved in a heated moment with England batsman Jonny Bairstow during the second innings of first t20 match. The incident happened during the 14th over after Dawid Malan chipped a delivery from Sundar and the off spinner went for a catch on his follow-through. It was an instinct flare-up on Sundar's part but it wasn't entirely unreasnable, bairstow on the other hand receded to get back at crease but coudn't kneel. Umpire Nitin Menon quickly intervened to pacify the environment.
