Ishant Sharma's Delhi Capitals teammate Amit Mishra has heaped praise on him, stating that he deserves to play 150 Test matches for India. "Ishant Sharma and I have partnered up many times for the Indian team," Amit Mishra told Delhi Capitals official website. "He has played 100 Tests and I would like to congratulate him for the feat. I hope he plays another 25-30 Test matches easily and eventually end up playing 150 Tests for India."

"He should at least play 150 Tests. We have partnered for a long time in the Indian Cricket Team, whenever it was required. So, our primary try should be to contribute with the bat whenever we get a chance," he added.

As soon as Ishant made his appearance in the video, Mishra was quick to add, "Ask everyone, is there anyone who has played 100 Test matches?"
Interrupting him while speaking, Ishant said, "Why are you considering 100 Tests? Why don't you consider someone who has more than 25 years of experience (pointing towards Mishra)?"

To which, Amit Mishra wittingly replied, "I haven't even crossed 25, I'm only 20 years (in age)"
Ishant, surprised by Mishra's comment said that if this is true, he will leave everything and will start sprinting toward Delhi.

Delhi Capitals are currently in Mumbai, where they are scheduled to play their first leg of the tournament. The franchise will miss their regular skipper Shreyas Iyer, who picked up a shoulder injury during the first ODI against England in Pune.
In his absence, the franchise has appointed young Rishabh Pant as the captain and his current form, which is best than anyone, has earned him the leadership hat.
Their coach Ricky Ponting has landed in Mumbai and is currently undergoing the mandatory 7-day quarantine. The players, who have completed the quarantine have joined the squad and have begun training at the Brabourne Stadium.
