Honorary Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Anurag Thakur today announced the names of the venues that will host the 2016 ICC World Twenty20. The World Tewenty20 tournament for both the men as well as women will be played in India from 11 March to 3 April 2016. The venues named will be made final after making sure that they fulfill requirements as prescribed by the ICC and BCCI in addition to adhering to the certain statutory obligations compulsory for hosting these kinds of International match.
Mr. Thakur named eight Indian cities – Bengaluru, Chennai, Dharamshala, Mohali, Mumbai, Nagpur, and New Delhi, while the final match of the tournament will be played at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. A managing committee chaired by Mr. Jagmohan Dalmiya, the President of BCCI, has been constituted to look after the match development. The members of the committee are.
