The Pakistan skipper was recently interviewed ahead of South Africa tour starting from April. The elegant batsman was asked about the significance of upcoming 3-match ODI series which is a part of ICC World cup super league. He responded, "We are going to play three odis matches in South Africa. The points will be very crucial to us, the team is properly sorted and we will try out best to win the series." Regarding the World Cup he said, "We are set to play 7 T20 matches including both tours. The team is ready and we will bring out best." Pakistan is recently scheduled with 3 T20 matches and 2 test matches against Zimbabwe next month.

Pakistan has a poor record against South Africa in ODIs, losing 50 games in total 79 played between them. Babar Azam spoke confidently about the squad and assured the team is more than ready for the series.
Babar was asked about the scandal he is involved in, he dodged the question by saying, ''My Lawyer is working on it and I better shall not say a word. The result will be out soon."
Regarding the recent squad selection, some players felt left out of the tour. "The selectors have already spoke about it. My job is to pick the best possible XI from the sorted squad" replied Babar Azam.
