In view of the ever increasing cases of Corona virus, the Government of India declared a public curfew on 22 March Sunday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself urged the Indian public to contribute to the public curfew on Sunday. Playing cricket during the public curfew has cost 8 players dearly. The police have arrested them all from Mumbai's Kalyan district.
Eight people were arrested at the police station in Mumbai for playing cricket during a public curfew. In Thane's welfare, they were all found playing cricket matches during the afternoon after which the move was taken against them. All these eight players were playing a cricket match on Sunday afternoon at Kala Talao ground. In this case, the police have also temporarily detained a boy.
On Sunday, the Indian public was asked by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to join the public curfew. During this time, there was talk of not leaving the house from 7 am to 5 pm on Sunday. This was due to the increasing threat of corona virus and the frequent cases in India. The corona spreads to others by contact with an infected human. To prevent this chain, all the people of India were requested to stay in the house all day.
The arrested people are identified as Mustakim Shaikh, Hamja Khan, Altaf Shaikh, Umar Shaikh, Imtiyaz Sayyed, Kunal Farde, Hussain Shaikh and Imran.
Giving information about the arrest, the police said, “Even after the order issued by the Police Commissionerate, action was taken against them for defying the prohibitory orders” They made mistake by going against the public curfew which was taken because of stopping the growing cases of Corona virus.
Mahatma Phule Police Station has registered a case in this matter. IPC sections 188, 269 and 290 have been imposed against all of this. A case has also been registered against all of them like Maharashtra Police Act the National Disaster Act 2005.
