KKR all set to tussle with Gujarat Lions on home pitch of Eden Garden
KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir has smashed two unbeaten fifties so far this season.

Kolkata Knight Riders are preparing for their next home tussle with Gujarat Lions. In the last season, Gujarat Lions won both the fixtures with the Riders. In the current season, The Riders has given back a reply to Lions as a victory, the next is still due at Eden Garden, at the upcoming match. It would be a level for KKR for their defeats last season. Meanwhile, Gujarat Lions are desperate for a victory. The team has also changed the players down the batting as well as bowling lines. Players like Ishan Kishan and Basil Thampi are emerging as strong bets against any team.

Kolkata has already got tested tallies from its skipper Gautam Gambhir on batting fronts. While, Nathan-Coulter-Nile and Sunil Narine are emerging as dependable attackers with the ball. Gambhir has hammered two unbeaten fifties so far in the season and Coulter-Nile was awarded Player of the Match in a previous fixture. Narine has been bowling with strict economy. Another player on spotlight at the batting line-up is Manish Pandey. Robin Uthappa and Yusuf Pathan are adding as strong players in the middle order. However, the team is not devoid of players who are still seeking a breakthrough. The team has still not get much of Chris Woakes and Trent Boult.

The Lions has Brandon McCullum who had a strong batting stance in the last fixture. The strike rates of individual batsmen of the team has also increased by folds. Suresh Raina is clearly on an aggressive tract. Batsmen Dwayne Smith and Aaron Finch are being dormant so far and a change in their positions might help. The allrounder players of the team are strong options especially while chasing. Ravindra Jadeja being on the side, can add massively on the front both as a bowler and a finisher. But, the player still could not make it out for either match winning runs or spells.

Yusuf Pathan, the KKR player is glad to bat on the middle order. He wishes to play long innings without curbing down his ‘natural instincts.’ Gujarat Lions assistant coach, Sitanshu Kotak focused on their campaign on the previous campaign to seek the opportunity in next matches. He wants to win 4-5 games in a row, as it was in the last season.
