India to tussle Bangladesh for Batting practice
Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan were bolstering last Champions Trophy season.

India is playing a warm-up matches with Bangladesh ahead of Champions Trophy. The match is expected to be a good practice of India. After IPL campaigns India players are boosted with a T20 fervor. The 50-over match will be a good practice for India to get a better a grip over the format. India, however, has already clinched the first warm-up practice match against New Zealand.

Even though, the match was rain washed, India displayed a strong bowling as well as batting stance in the rain-cut-short match. The bowlers slogged New Zealand at a paltry score in the first inning, while in the next, its batsmen scaled down the target easy. Virat Kohli & Co. was good with the bat. In the match with New Zealand India was on crease for about 26 overs before rain washed out.

In the present fixture with Bangladesh, Rohit Sharma will bat on the top of the line-up. The player is expecting a good batting practice ahead of the Champions Trophy. He is supposed to be the opener for India in the first campaign against Pakistan. In 2013 season, strong opening partnerships from openers were the harbingers of India’s success. It was Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan, playing some of their best innings together.

Rahane’s stance in the previous match is also an indication of a strong batting front for India. Team India will certainly try to conjure something similar this season as well. Virat Kohli, the skipper, plundered a half century in the match against New Zealand. His IPL campaign was good from personal perspectives, as he scored adequate runs. But, it was the rest of Royal Challengers Bangalore, who could not find a winning combination. Kedar Jadhav is on spot light in India’s squad.

On the other side, Bangladesh has been doing well in 50-overs format. Especially the top batting order played strong in previous matches. In bowling as well, the likes of Mushtafizur Rahman, Rubel Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, and the skipper, Mashrafe Mortaza himself are strong attackers.
