India and Sri Lanka face off at Kenington Oval
Kohli said anyone can upset anyone and there are no guarantees of win in cricket.

In cricket, digging out a team’s history of win and loss is not that returning since players change and no squad is forever. Team Sri Lanka has changed a lot and so is team India. The only difference is Sri Lanka’s change is merely towards the downside, while India maintained a good consistency in their stance. In the upcoming fixture between India and Sri Lanka, the former is naturally the favorites keeping up with their recent records of long victory stretches.

Sri Lanka on the other hand, is a bit low in their profile but with a good history in earlier seasons of the tournament. The teams always made out to semi-finals as well as final fixtures, but did not win since a long stretch. India is the winner of the previous season of the tournament. However, there are many reasons to believe the match to be an enthralling one, including the latest defeat of South Africa against Pakistan.

India has been stronger in Test, but in ODI and T20, the team is with several lacunae. Still, India’s stance against Pakistan displayed a sheer makeover within the team with a strong winning formula. Seems India has successfully transformed the team to match with ODI requirements for this season. South Africa defeated Sri Lanka in their first campaign of the tournament for a massive 96 runs. This puts the team on the slogging side. While, India defeated Pakistan with incredible batting as well as bowling, hauling themselves to the triumphant side.

Sri Lanka has Dinesh Chandimal to play against India’s Bhuvneshwar Kumar. In bowling, Angelo Mathews amd Lasith Malinga are the best bets. Also, there is a chance of Danushka Gunathilaka in the match. On India’s side, MS Dhoni has the best strikes against Sri Lanka. He is expected to form the strongest resistance to bowlers. Angelo Mathews, the skipper indicated the need for his team to be “on top of the game” to challenge India. Meanwhile Kohli said, India respects every team and stressed, “anyone can upset anyone” in cricket
