After a dashing entry to BBL, India Women players are all set to mark their presence in Women’s Cricket Super League of England. Lately, Harmanpreet Kaur, India Women T20 captain, signed up with Surrey Stars, the WSL team for its next season. Kaur is also the first Indian Women cricketer to feature at Women BBL last season. She played alongside Sydney Thunders. It was only last year when BCCI allowed women cricketers to participate in international franchisee cricket tournament. For entry to WSL, BCCI missed the dateline last year.
In BBL, Kaur had a strong stance. The 28 years old cricketer totaled 296 runs playing 12 matches. Her average in the tournament was 59.2. Also, bowling, she scalped six wickets. In the last season, Kaur was names as Sydney Thunder’s Player of the Tournament in WBBL. In Surrey’s team, Kaur is the third overseas player along with Rene Farrell and Marizanee Kapp. In WSL, a total of six players will campaign.
