As IPL league phase is already halfway it is where matches and results get rather problematic for some teams. So far eight fixtures are being played and teams with lower tallies of win need to worry. Delhi Daredevils is on a perilous position and with six matches ahead, they have no way to lose. Thus, the upcoming fixture with Rajasthan Royals is going to be a do or die.
Still, they can let go one match. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals too, is on a grim situation, winning only three of seven matches, almost similar to Delhi. If they win the upcoming fixture, they would be equal to Kolkata Knight Riders with four points. Thus, both the teams cannot afford mistake in this match.
When Gautam Gambhir played as the captain of Delhi Daredevils, he promoted himself as the opener. However, his woeful form forced down the captainship from him and now he is expected to be full on his batsman stance. He stepping down as the captain would be stepping up as the prime striker of the team. This might have a bigger threat to Rajasthan Royals. Other players like Glenn Maxwell has already shown up their powerful sides.
Rajasthan Royals too have comparable bets in batting fronts. For instance, Jos Buttler’s record matches with that of Maxwell. Meanwhile, Jofra Archer is being playing as an effective bet in both bowling as well as batting ensembles. Also, bowlers like Mahipal Lomror might be of better use in this game. Royals could get an advantage if they bring leg spinner on attack against Delhi batsmen. On the other side, Delhi Daredevils are upbeat with their spin attack. In IPL tournament so far, Delhi’s record against Rajasthan is not that bright. Since 2012, the team lost in 7 matches against the latter.
