De Villiers terms final ODI as a Big Pressure game
AB de Villiers takes the last ODI against South Africa as a challenge.

South Africa captain AB de Villiers is taking the last ODI as a challenge leading the team to Eden Park. The match will determine the outcome of the series and it has become a high imperative for South Africa. The victory in the semi-final was a positive sign, as in the last season, they returned from the mark. The series is now levelled following the last match where Martin Guptill hammered 180 off 130 balls. Even if the final match is important for both the teams as the Champion Trophy is arriving. The Protease skipper noted the match as “a big pressure game.” For him there is “a lot at stake” and there is “a big final to play.”

The captain, however, is excited and considers it would be great for the team to come through such a big-pressure game. He is eager to play at Eden Park. De Villiers reminds the T20 victory and expects to win the ODI as well. He said the team “haven’t yet hit” their straps and they wanted to in both batting and bowling. He is hopeful about such an instance in the last game. Terming the match as a pressure game and a final he hinted a tough preparation to win.

South Africa still has players who are expected to show up string stances. The number one bowler of the team, Imran Tahir has not yet display a powerful showdown in the ODI series. He claimed 5 wickets in the T20 series giving out only 24 runs. In the last ODI Guptill plundered him for five sixes. Per de Villiers, the surface at Eden Park might support the bowler. He said that everyone respects a matchwinner more. He also hinted on focusing on other bowlers. Per the captain the wicket at Eden Park is quicker and Tahir like to bowl on such pitches. He said the pitch at the last stadium they played was slow.
