Cape Cobras nicks second victory knocking Miami Dolphins at Pietermaritzburg
Rory Kleinveldt played excellent with the ball as well as with the bat.

Winning over the match with Miami Dolphins, Cape Cobras pulled up themselves to a decent position in the points table. The match at Pietermaritzburg brought their second victory of the tournament. It was Rory Kleinveldt who delivered a strong play with the ball as well as the bat in the inning. The player dismissed 4 Dolphins’ batsmen giving out 48. While batting, he brought the most crucial runs for the victory striking a four and six in the last over. The team was in the bottom of the points table, which they abandoned winning the match.

The Dolphins set a target of 257 for Cobras. The chase had a string beginning with opener Richard Levi and Omphile Ramela’s partnership of 63 runs. Levi scored 52 off 35 balls, while Ramela knocked 62 off 90 in the match. The pair was broken with Robbie Frylinck taking down Levi’s wicket. He struck back to remove Stiaan van Zyl. Van Zyl’s stance was a dig in the inning because all he could do was scratching out 8 runs playing 26 balls.

Ramela retired hurt from the match after another wicket fell at the delivery from Kyle Nipper. In the mid overs, Dane Vilas steered the inning. The chase was at 221 for 7 wickets requiring 36 off 32 balls. This was reduced to 10 runs off the last over, which Kleinveldt finished with a four and a six. The player scored 26 off 15 while Vilas scored 47 off 58.

In the previous inning, Dolphins openers Vaughn van Jaarsveld and Morne van Wyk put on 90 as the opening partnership. Jaarsveld scored 54 off 52 and van Wyk scored a century. The inning had a strong beginning, but a sluggish ending. The opener scored 111 off 127. The team scored 256 with 8 wickets. In another match, the Titans knocked a victory over Lions. The latter was all out on 159 in a chase to 268.
